On July 16, 2007 a call was put in to the Denville Police Department Headquarters at about 0900 hours to report criminal mischief that was done to the tank at Veterans Memorial Park on Zeek Rd. Upon the officer's arrival she found that two mini flags that had previously been attached to the tank were taken off and burned and that the tank had been written on in red and purple crayon. Some of the things written on the tank were "reject false idols" and the word "raven" both in red crayon.
