15014-Church Burglary Morris Township
The Morris Township Police Department is currently investigating a
burglary to the St. Thomas More Church located on Madison Avenue near the
Convent Train Station. The burglary
occurred sometime between Wednesday night (11/18/15) and early Thursday morning
(11/19/15). Stolen from the church were
cash from the donation box and the gold and silver Lamb of God Monstrance
(similar to photo), with an estimated value of $10,000.00. It is believed that this item may be sold to
a gold buying store or pawn shop for its precious metal value or sold on the
internet via Ebay or Craigslist.
