The East Hanover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary which occurred on 10/24/08 on a side street off of Ridgedale Avenue north of the center of town. At 6:55 pm, a suspect vehicle described as a 4 door, sedan parked was in the street near the residence. A side door behind the garage was either shouldered or kicked in. The master bedroom and closet were gone through and an unknown amount of jewelry was taken. The suspect(s) was wearing gloves, was interrupted by the homeowner coming home at 7:08 pm. The suspect ran out of a rear kitchen door to the deck just as the homeowner was coming in the front door. The actor got into the passenger side of the car and the vehicle fled north on Ridgedale Avenue towards Eagle Rock Avenue,I-280 or Route 46.
