16005 Armed Robberies, Netcong & Rockaway Twp.
On July 26 at 3:36AM and
August 2 at 3:12AM, the Valero Gas Station located on Highway 46 and Route 183
in Netcong Borough, was subject to armed robberies. Both robberies appear to be the same actor. The actor has been described as a white male,
approximately 5’-10’’ to 5’-11”, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, dark
colored shoes, a black mask and glasses.
This actor is said to have entered the gas station property on foot from
Route 46 and robbed an employee at gun point. On August 2, the actor made
off with approximately $180.00 in cash, then fled the scene back onto
Route 46 East towards Roxbury Township in a gray type 4 door sedan.
This is similar to an
armed robbery that occurred on July 19 at the Shell gas station on Green Pond
Road in Rockaway Twp. The suspect in
that robbery brandished a handgun, demanded money and fled on foot with $500.00
in cash.
